Review: We have had SPURS on our boat for the last 30 years and have been very impressed with the product.We are originally from Mystic CT & own a 40 foot Hatteras we have navigated for years throughout all the waters from Maine to New Jersey & everything in between. With Twin props, you do not want to find yourself dead in the water due to unforeseen entanglements around the props and diving to try and remove, which we have experienced.Recently we expanded our travels and did the Great American Loop up through Canada & down through our Great Lakes and river system. We experienced a hard hit from a discarded cable when traveling down the Mississippi River & pulled the boat to access any damage. We found and replaced the one spur that was bent & broken, but it did what it was suppose to do & never put us out of commission or out of safety.We continued our travels adding 16,000 more miles on the hull including Florida & could not feel more confident about the SPURS after all these years and will never travel without them. Review: Ran into these guys at the Palm Beach Boat Show. I let them know how much we love their product! We have traveled from Florida to Maine the last 2 seasons and attribute the lack of getting things caught in our prop to the spur cutters. I know they worked because, as hard as we tried, I know there is no way did not run over lobster pots while traveling through Maine! I’m glad we have them!
